Dutux Brass Self Tapping Inserts (DBI-022) are cylindrical metal bushings with internal and exterior threads. They are also referred to as Self Threaded Inserts or Ensats. Pre-tapped threads are not necessary because these inserts are specifically made to cut their own threads when being inserted into a drilled hole.

During installation, the insert may create precise and robust threads since it has cutting grooves that carry out the thread cutting activity.
